Aftercare & Homecare
Before your treatment
7 Days Before
- Avoid retinoids, Retin-A, tretinoin, adapalene, tazarotene.
- Stop AHA/BHA exfoliants (glycolic, lactic, salicylic).
- Avoid benzoyl peroxide.
- No chemical peels or lasers.
- Avoid any sunburn or tanning.
- Pause active acne treatments unless advised otherwise.
3 Days Before
- Stop vitamin C serums, acids, scrubs, and exfoliating tools.
- No waxing, threading, or harsh treatments in the area.
- Avoid alcohol & NSAIDs (ibuprofen) to reduce chance of bleeding/bruising.
- Stay well hydrated.
Day of Treatment
- Arrive with clean skin: no makeup, lotion, sunscreen, or oils.
- Do not wear or bring your own numbing cream, we use a specific microneedling safe brand
- Avoid caffeine if you tend to feel anxious or sensitive.
- Eat a light meal beforehand to avoid lightheadedness.
- Stay hydrated throughout the day
After your treatment
24-72 Hours
- Redness, warmth, and tightness are normal.
- Do NOT touch or pick the skin.
- Do NOT apply makeup, sunscreen, or skincare (unless provided by provider).
- Avoid sweating, working out, saunas, or hot showers.
- Avoid sun exposure.
After 72 Hours
- Use only gentle, hydrating products (no fragrance, no actives).
Examples: hyaluronic acid, gentle moisturizer, peptide serum.
- Still avoid acids, retinoids, scrubs, vitamin C, benzoyl peroxide.
- No makeup until skin no longer feels irritated (usually 24–48 hrs).
- No self-tanner.
- Avoid swimming, hot tubs, or anything that could cause bacteria exposure.
72 Hours - 1 Week
- You may slowly resume normal skincare except:
- Retinoids (wait 5–7 days)
- Strong acids (wait 5–7 days)
- Exfoliating scrubs (wait 5–7 days)
- Retinoids (wait 5–7 days)
- Continue moisturizing frequently—skin may lightly peel.
- Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF daily (SPF 30+).
- Do not pick or peel flaking skin.
